robertbrown 1 Posted March 12, 2004 Comments, ratings on flowering quince. I know a lot of you have flower shots--that's ok. I wanted to shoot this the week before: beautiful light only five or six blooms on a large bush, nice pastel yellow house in the background. Weather and time weren't cooperating and by the time I could shoot this the tree (really looks like a bush) was in full bloom. Thanks. Link to comment
stevenjb 0 Posted March 12, 2004 Because the focal point is so low (the open flower) - a tighter crop might work best - just above the two buds (top- the one in focus and the one not in focus) - additionally, taking the in focus bud "out of focus" would bring more attention to the open flower. Also, try rotating the image 90 degrees CW - might give a stonger base for the image to sit on. Otherwise a nice blended image. Link to comment
koosnet 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Very nice colors. There is too much dull space at the top. Some cropping makes it better I think. Nevertheless, well done. Link to comment
