alex1 0 Posted March 7, 2004 What a fantastic composition; I could stare at this picture all day! Nitpicking: the gate in the background is perhaps a little busy. Link to comment
nher 0 Posted March 8, 2004 De Preciados a Cadiz con acento sudamericano. Tengo la misma imagen pero de noche, (Junto a FNAC) Buena foto! Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted March 8, 2004 De las 4 últimas me quedo con esta, es la más natural y espontánea. Link to comment
robert holmes 0 Posted March 8, 2004 This is an entertaining photo, but it appears to be a hoax. The man is STANDING on his left foot, not walking. Also, a wind strong enough to invert his umbrella would certainly lift all his cape, not just one corner (which is attached to the umbrella). Why does he have an umbrella, when it isn't raining..........Nice try! Link to comment
some_body 0 Posted March 9, 2004 I also caught that the left foot looked a little awkward. It makes me wonder if the hair is real? It seems that this is a setup (in more than one sense). Since this is a setup shot, I think that the background could have been a bit better. The poster on the right side is a bit distracting to the eye, and I'm not sure that I'm crazy about the chain fence that cuts the guy in half. Federico: Please comment on how you made this image. roger_michel 3 Posted March 9, 2004 expression gives it away (along with foot and cape tacked to umbrella). could have done better for a set-up shot. i must say, i really have a strong bias against set-up shots that pose as candids. the best part of street photogrpahy is the sense that it captures a real moment. this kind of thing bugs me. it just drives home th epoint that photography is no longer widely regarded as a recorder of real events. this makes me a little sad. a real loss. brian f 0 Posted March 9, 2004 If this was captured spontaneously, it is truly remarkable. Link to comment
mirkocano 0 Posted March 10, 2004 I know this guy. He is in one of the most popular streets of Madrid, and of course it's hoax. He is a kind of mimic, with all his clothes prepared to make this "windy" effect. The thing with the left foot is that he is trying to stand against the strong wind. The picture is ok, but i also find the background distracting. Link to comment
philipward 0 Posted September 10, 2010 As a street performer he"s a 7/7, but as a setup photo of a static object it"s an average 4/4.I would hate anybody to be fooled into thinking this was a "decisive moment".Sadly it appears many have. Link to comment
