Guest Guest Posted March 11, 2004 i am attaching a file..check.it...had u got it so....i would have given 7 and 6....which i think would have been possible...it was just a matter of angle and composition...and thanks for the commetns on my directory...it was taken with an ordinary digital camera.it is not an slr...it is not with my f80..i saw ur directory they were really good... pradeep1 0 Posted March 11, 2004 read ur comment, i saw the attachment and i guess u have tried to block out the green grass? why is that? i dont get the point, i think it gives the picture a better contrast that way. Link to comment
dd_toth 0 Posted April 1, 2007 I think because green is the complimentary color to red. The deers coat is a reddish brown and the rest of the background is red as well. Because of that, your eye tends to gravitate towards that green spot, and it doesn't help it's on the very edge of the picture too. As well, the slope of the deers back takes you right to it, so your eyes are constantly leaving the picture. Your eyes tend to fight with that green spot while you are trying to enjoy and explore the rest of the photo. When I went to go look at Umesh's image display I was looking everywhere trying to find out what he did differently. I had to go back to the original photo to see what the change was. That to me, tells me he is correct, because by removing the green that was screaming at me to be seen, I was aloud to experience the picture the way it was meant to be. Link to comment
