Thanks, Brendan. The original was a sharp picture, just kind of blah. I changed one layer to glowing edges, then brought back most of the original layer.

Playing with layers. Did a glowing edges filter, then brought back

some of the original image underneath.

You've captured a fantastic portrait of this little critter. I'm not familiar with the tools used for this final image. The expresion looks thoughtful. Looks like he (she?) walked into a studio for a portrait for the family.

Effective use of filters. This monkey looks as if he has a lot of character. =)

Thanks for the comments, guys. I liked the monkey's expression in the original, but didn't like the background. I'll have to post it so you can compare.
