Summer is Over

Well constructed picture, slightly melancholy despite the bright red colour.

Hey, which beach is this? I worked as a beach lifeguard over the summer and let me tell you: not much happens sitting up in one of those chairs. They DO make for a neat photo, though. Another photogenic beach item are the rowboats the lifeguards have. Just don't ask to sit in them :)

As for your photo, I like the vivid colour contrast and the high contrast lighting. Some of the rusted metal on the lower right gets a little bit lost in the texture of the sand, though. The shadow on the right side is very interesting as well, but it seems a little cramped by the edge of the frame. Nice shot and, like Martin said, very melancholy despite the vivid colour.
