Lying flat on my back to get the 17mm lens as close to the ground as

possible. There is also a cloudless shot under full sun in my folder.

Thank-you.

I admit that it is dark and the scanner did end up losing some detail in the shadows. However that was the original intent when I chose to shoot it when the sun was behind a cloud. I did not want any shadows and highlights disturbing the reflections of the clouds and sky in the buildings.

As you can see in the other photo in my folder the two dark towers are black (Mies van de Rohe - Architect, my apologies if this is spelled wrong, it's been along time since design school), one is black, one is red and one is silver.

So, does the darkness help make it more dramatic or does it take away from the image?

I really do have to try this with my 4x5 and 65mm lens. When I took this shot I really wanted a 14mm lens on my 35mm camera but I do not think I will ever be able to justify one of those.

I agree that the photo is a bit dark... but I love the idea of it!

Thanks for visiting my photo; I glanced over your portfolio and you seem to have many excellent photographs (don't have the time at present to go through them all, but this one caught my eye). Keep on clicking!!

I wish I could put a positive spin on the darkness of the image, and say that "...they reflect the dark forces that are the banks of Bay Street", but I could not stretch it that much. Very original. You have got to try this again.

Cheers.

Absolutely stunning. I really like the two shots taken here and what you have done with them. This one especially because the buildings reflections add an almost etheral feel to the capture.
