We're Married!

kslonaker

Scanning in old negatives. This one was a b&w shot taken about 22 years ago with my Pentax. Did a little PS work to bring it up to snap.

Mine are 2600 miles away, up in British Columbia. We are going up to visit twice this year - once the end of March and again in July, for this "boy's" wedding!

Thanks, Amar. I'm sure these two would be mortified to see this one from the past posted! Although the shot I have where he's kissing his brother would be worse!!!

Funny old world, we place limits on our emotions like speed signs, "Warning, Too Close, Slow Down" Wouldn't the world be blessed if someone took down all the EMOTION sighs and let us assume a safe and reasonable speed ? *R*

I guess it all depends on what part of the world you are from. In some countries, you WOULD kiss your brother and not think anything of it.

Just beautiful!

Have you tried it in sepia to add some nostalgia?

Thanks for sharing your photos and feel free to critique mine (I would be very pleased).

My best regards.

Actually, I did try this in sepia, too, Sergio. It's my favorite for giving an "old" look to photos. But in this one, I liked the blue tones for a change. Just something different from my usual. I will check out your photos. Thanks for stopping and commenting.

Mine, too, Kristin. They are so natural and candid if you catch them when they don't know the camera is around. Otherwise, they can be real hams!

Hallmark couldn't have done it better! Just makes me realize that I'll have to be buying those extra dead-bolts for my daughters' doors a little earlier than I'd planned! :-)

Jeff, this was taken over 20 years ago; I think kids today are even more precocious, so yes, I think you'd better invest in some good deadbolts!

Very cool. Have you printed for your son? He's probably old enough now to appreciate it.

I did email it to him. He's about to get married (Jul 31) to someone else (of course). Maybe this would be something to take up for the wedding?? :)

Thanks, Isaac. I have some more old negatives I really need to get busy and scan in. Thanks for the reminder!
