I find this to be a wonderful composition first of all. I like the light tone as well. especially that warm yellow one on the rocks at the bottom. maybe more sky added would make the image even better.

Very nice! Now, I must know... do you drive the along Turnagain Arm on the Seward Highway to work every day or something!?!?!!? Don't take that as a criticism, I am jealous.

Nicely balanced composition with pleasing colors and lighting. You'll probably get at least one comment about everything being too centered, but to me, this works well.

That is the first thing that came to mind. I'm in Anchorage too, and know this scene well. The composition suits the scene well, and gives a sence of the true depth and distance. Well done.

No, I don't drive Seward Highway to work. It's just that it is only a short drive from Anchorage and has great scenery, so I go there to take pictures often.

Thanks for the comments.

With all that snow and ice around, it feels quite cold to me. Maybe minus 20C is warm for u guys...Did I get that cold feeling because we are plus 3C with heavy snow?...I see a beautiful sun angle with its gentle light just touching the rocks, interesting clouds, looking as if they were smoke coming out of many mountain chimneys, peaceful reflections, good balance in a quite complex composition of pointed mountain and pointed foreground, plenty of shadow for harmony, colors could have been a little bit richer, to give a touch more warmth to the morning sun....

Excellent Photo, Your exposure is spot on. Well done. I also appreciate the composition, in regards to the consistant lines in the photo(the peak of the mountain and the peak of the forground rocks. I do however have one critisism of the photo. That being the bright yellow rock in the right bottom corner. It's really drawing my eye. Mind you slight adjustment in position and lens angle could solve this. Cheers.

Excellent detail and tonal fluidity from edge to edge. I feel like I can step onto those rocks and see well enough not to fall in! best - Gary

Everything's been said except maybe that the "cool" pink and blue of the sky contrasts well with the "warm" yellow of the foreground. Great picture!
