aepelbacher 0 Posted February 25, 2004 The SUN for this shot was AWFUL ... high in the sky and totally too bright to be taking pictures ... but I tried to adjust in PS anyway. She was just too close to the road for me to drive on by without snapping a few pics. :-) Any comments or ratings are appreciated! Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted February 25, 2004 She's posing very nicely for you. You've got a pretty good detail on the animal despite the tricky conditions. I like the high contrast in the water. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted February 27, 2004 Where is Regina Chayer? Didn't she say that she was into moose-roping back up in Maine? Nice shot, Lou Ann. Link to comment
r_christopher_vest 0 Posted February 27, 2004 man, i wish i had a dime for every foot of film i've wasted trying to photograph moose well. this is a very nice shot -- the reason the water is washed out is of course because moose are so dark in color-- in this case however, the bright spots neatly frame the charming subject. 1000wordsphotography 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Hey Lannie.... we only rope the males, the rack of antlers makes it tougher, more challenging ... we leave the females alone. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted February 28, 2004 No, Ken, I haven't, but, when I saw Regina's comment, I said to myself, "This would be Ken's area of expertise." I'm not sure that I've ever seen a moose, come to think of it. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted April 8, 2004 Lou Ann, This is, indeed, a nice shot. I'm no expert but my bet is that this shot was taken toward the end of your series & the moose is telling you you've been too close for too long (note the ears layed back). Very good detail in the shadows & highlights, a testimony to the quality of this film. Best, LM. Link to comment
