Planting rice

It was going to be a wet day. While driving I saw this fantastic

scene and managed to get this shot before he moved on.

there's something about the picture - a bit rotated or taken at an angle. Maybe if you crop the black line off the foreground.

It's quite difficult because I will have to crop off part of his legs. He is too near the curbside of the main road.

Alec don't crop it, maybe you could just rotate it a little bit in PH. It is very nice: a reportage.

Alec - I like this very much, particularly the streaming of the rows of rice to the end of the paddy. Good to see a peaceful portrayal of Bali after Oct 12, 2002 (R.I.P.)

The tourists are still avoiding Bali so prices are very very reasonable here for a great holiday.

Alec, I didn't see the original, but I read that straightening the perspective put the rice worker at the bottom edge. I suggest why not crop from the right so his placement near the bottom right corner becomes an intended choice. Also, though the sky is part of the reportage, it tends to draw the eye too much, so I would suggest cropping that, too. Finally, selective toning of the white building(s) at right can be done, too. best - Gary
