More than just light ...

Too bad the stained glass windows behind are so out of focus.

Stained glass out of focus was the whole idea, I have tried either way,candle was the subject.

I like the idea and agree that the glass must be off-focus to convey it. What I would change concerns the framing: since the glass IS the background, I would square-crop the picture to centre it, leaving as much black on the left as one of the five windows.

For composition, I agree with Salvatore saying cropping a square format, so you can get rid of the rather empty black space on the left. thanks cheers jana
