Island in the corn

ian cameron

A small circle of trees formed an island in the corn. I loved the towering stack of clouds and the two emerald green fields on the bottom of the frame. If you look carefully the right hand field is flecked with the white dots of sheep. I deliberately composed the image with a disproportionately huge area of sky and I think the whole looks a little like the National flag of some exotic country.

Big landscapes are not so easy to find in Britain as they are in the

USA. I was delighted by the colours and the towering sky. The group

of trees and the white flecks of the sheep (take my word for it) lend

it scale. Hope you like it, but feel free to give constructive

criticism.

You will have to take my word for it. The angle of view precludes much more of the land being seen. However it was the big sky I liked.

And the big landscapes do not always make the great photos. I like photographers who know find the beauty in the little landscapes like this one. Which could have been take in Tuscania moreover.

I love all the colors and lines in this photo. At first, I wished that I could see more of the corn line, but now I really like it just the way it is. Very original!
