monika.brand 0 Posted February 13, 2004 I wanted to show a "powerful" lily. What do you think about it? Link to comment

pawel_stradowski 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Monika! I like it, the color is great and overall impression is very good. What I'm a little bit concerned about is lack of sharpness and grain. Therefore, to the make the flower stand out even more I would suggest sharpening the flower and blurring the background. See my attachment and tell me please what you think of it Link to comment
monika.brand 0 Posted February 14, 2004 thanks alot for your comment and the suggestion. I've already tried to sharpened it, but didn't get this result. Would you give me a tipp off to get it like yours? thanks a lot, Monika. Link to comment
pawel_stradowski 0 Posted February 14, 2004 First of all I dont know what software you are using. Therefore, as most of the people use PhotoShop, I will base my tip on this software (myself, I prefer Corel Photo 11, which delivers similar features as PS, but the interface is more user-friendly). Do achieve that result you first have to sharpen the whole photo. Be careful not to over sharpen, but Im sure you will make the right choice. Sharpening will increase the grain, but dont worry about it. Then you have 2 choices. You either use the magic wand and mark the background excluding the flower and then blur it, or just use feature called intelligent blur. Select parameters that will fit your preferences and you are done. I hope this is helpful for you Link to comment
