Yes, this is a good way to make this piece, your piece. People hear me talk about stealing other artists' work by just photographing it, and I do believe that. To photograph another artists' piece of work and then call it your own seems a little out of character for an artist to do, so I emphasize making it your own by showing it in a different way. Thanks for letting us see your interpretation.

As always, thanks Jennifer for your concrete comments. You are a great critique and I always value your sincere advice. I took this picture because I was amazed by the smooth, clean craftmanship of the idol as compared to the surrounding gnarled stones and this picture express it more than words can.

the smoothness of the idol compered to the stones, tells a story: the story of a umanity that always needs to believe in a God to find a small piece of happiness... Good eye Alec; but you know that.

The spot of color via 'strategic' placement of the monks-garment(?) makes the shot together with very good composition.

Another great image Alec. Is the never ending story the fact that you have a never eding supply of great shots? :-)

The details and purity of this image is almost entertaining. The warm tones of the stones gradually contrasted against the others is just marvelous to view.

I assume this is overcast sky.

An interesting photo, but I'm drawn to the content of this photo: the colors and images. They seem to be in balance and compliment each other.

Yes Arthur it is an overcast sky. Thanks every one for leaving a note. I never expected this image to create so much interest and submitted it before my trip to Bali. So you never know what is expected of PN member's interest!

Again and again look within and you learn Who you are. Never mind the head... Sit on and you will lern. The meaning is there, behind the look of ruins.
