alberto.conde 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Morning view of the village of Gata (in the northwestern part of Cáceres province in spain, bordering with Portugal) from the castle's hill dominating the villageI'd appreciate any input you'd wish to give me Link to comment
jennifercatron 9 Posted February 10, 2004 Excellent. Has all the great elements. The colors are beautiful and natural. Nice work. Link to comment
davidlier 0 Posted February 10, 2004 I would have liked to see some more vibrant colors here and a clearer subject or path for the eye to follow. Also, the bright area in the upper left hand corner is distracting. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted February 10, 2004 I do really love that someone begs me for more saturated colours! Link to comment
nino1 0 Posted February 10, 2004 I think that in this photo what is actually missing is a good light. Nice landscape, anyway. Link to comment
john_burnham 0 Posted February 11, 2004 I can just picture King Arthur and his knights coming up from Camelot ;-) Beautiful! Link to comment
:-) Saludos! Link to comment
Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted February 12, 2004 Alberto, I like the way the ridges lead my eye to the village. Great colours. I gave up using Velvia because I found it too saturated for my taste especially for skies. But looking at your work (and other Velvia users) I think I will have to try again! Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted February 12, 2004 I agree with David, re saturated colors would make it really super...Zeiss would have given it, Nikon even with a warmer..didnt..so why did we lose out on a perfect foto ..we must ask Alberto ...what factors made u choose the N brand of glass over the Z, if u want..wanted..love... saturated colors..and it is an undisputed fact that the Z glass gives the best saturation. alberto.conde 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Thanks a lot for your comment. I do love powerful colors when they are there. Actually, I'm about to upload some of them from the same day. However, here, the photo was shot in winter. The vista is/was superb (I only wish I had been able to capture all its majestic beauty) but the colours of grass where what they were.In any case, don'y you think the blues and red are quite vibrant? jfochoa 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Que bonita vista. Link to comment
Excelente! Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Yes quite vibrant is the word, but it is difficult to see the difference between the sunlit and shaded areas with the glasss u r using. The sunlit should jump out at u. Have a brief glance at photos4u.dk and see the Zeiss effect, even though he uses an old Z tele zoom for many shots.. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted February 13, 2004 I appreciate your comments on some of my photos and I have discovered you Danish friend thru you. Thanks for it. But I agree with others that seeing your own work would help us in better understanding your views on photography. Link to comment
Link to comment
