Sunrise in January day

Southern Urals mountains. Morning.

Colors here may be just a little too much on the blue side. I see what you were attempting, and I actually agree that it would work, but you need more of the sky in color, and a little softer on the blue I think. However all that said, this is a wonderful piece. It would sell very well.

Beautiful, but I think a little too blue for me as well. Just my opinion though!

Igor, this is a very good winter mood photo. Perhaps 50% less saturation on the ground and 10% less in the sky would create a dynamic contrast?

Unique and beautiful as it is. Real cold day. The blues make this highly original.

A gorgeous scene and excellent choice of exposure Igor but a bit too blue for me too, particularly in the foreground. I think I'd punch up the curves a bit for the foreground in the revised version that was posted.

It's a wonderfull shot, the coldness "radiates" from it, the blue tone is wonderfull. And the suggestion from Gary makes it perfect...

Gary's suggestion is great but you already acknowledged it. Very interesting and beautiful shot in any case. Congrats.

I would have tilted the camera down and only shot the sky to just above the highest bit of pink..The rest of the sky has little information, and tends to detract from the foreground..The ground has plenty of interesting information, and also gives the shot the main feeling...It would then have had a much more earthier feeling, which I think was intended. Blank it off and see if u like it better..The mood and colors r perfect. ...What do u think Igor...

I agree with Thomas about the upper portions of the sky being a bit flat and less than interesting. Aside from that "WOW"! I love it!

I absolutely love the colors in this photo. Being from Northern Minnesota I can relate to this image very easily. Natures beauty at it's finest!

I disagree with those that think the sky is boring - it provides a contrast of texture against the bottom half of the photo. It also allows the photo to become a color study.

I love shooting in the blue hour, but I'm usually not up early enough for this one!
