raffaele 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Ottimo panorama! Un po' strana e inquietante la colorazione delle nubi. Ciao Link to comment

poutnik 1 Posted February 11, 2004 Also for me, the graduated filter used for top was not chosen well. Would be a better scene without it... Jiri Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted February 11, 2004 Hi Guido: The majesty of the Cinque Torri is well captured here. The disadvantage of the graduated tobacco filter is that it in order to create realistic sunset tones in the clouds, you would leave Cinque Torri looking unnaturally reddish brown. I had this dilemma when photographing sailboats. Art directors and clients clamored for dramatic skies, but Coquin filters left white dacron sails looking like old canvas. Now we have PS. To complete the sunset effect, I opened an additional layer set to the Overlay blending, sampled the tobacco clouds, selected a soft brush set to about 30 percent opacity and painted away. See what you think. --jim Link to comment

salvatore.mele 1 Posted July 1, 2004 I agree with the views that the grad-filter here is not appropriate... the red clouds seem to push down on the "torri" and detract attention from the majestic rock face. The composition, though, is very good and the texture in the foreground snow nicely complements that of the sheer rock faces. Ciao, Link to comment
