james_shrenk 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Again, I think the lighting is improving on these later ones. Out of curiosity, are these pictures that have actually been taken later in the series with variations in the lighting, or is it my imagination taking hold? Thanks for sharing these spectacular photos! Link to comment
jennifercatron 9 Posted February 12, 2004 I think you have too much dead space. Yes it draws you in, but the viewer can't swim in the lines and shadows that you've given them because they are so far away. Maybe that's purposeful... but I think closer would be better. Link to comment

koval 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Few observation points about your crop proposition : first of all , Iam loosing a balance there , surly this could be fixed when planing the shot and achiving a bit less one side overwighted feel. Assuming that this is fixed the composition would work however in my opinion most importantly one of the element is not existing on the scale it did in original shot. LIGHT . We loosing a lot of light impact there. as you have noticed in your first comment by having a bit more space around them the image will let the viewer get some "speed " some space to breath..but again it creates even stronger impact of light. something which seems to me a very important key to read the image. Still I see your point of view and there might be a close up shot in the future published ... as for now I personally enjoy it as it is ..I really apriciate your input . Best Regards PK .
