Thank you for the nice comments! It's so nice to hear from others who share my passion for photography! I love it.

Jayme, this is the first time that I have had the pleasure of seeing your work. This particular piece is exquisite. The focus of light draws the viewer from the foreground right down the isle to the painting. The reflections on the polished floor really help bring this shot together. I'm glad to see that you didn't attempt to correct the color temperature. The warmth of the tungsten works perfectly for the mood. It is missing one crucial element however - a pair of fuzzy slippers in the middle of the isle. ;-) Now I must to look at the rest of your portfolio!

Jayme, very nicely captured. My eyes were drawn down the aisle to the altar and then up to the painting where the brightest light is. For me the accent on the altar really makes the composition.

ISO of 800, explains the lack of definition. It was hand held too, no tripods allowed inside.

I love the symmetry, love the lighting and colours, and love the focal point at the end! I'm just in the throes of preparing a Good Friday sermon for our united village service tomorrow morning and, stopping for a quick mental break, I came across your portfolio of churches. Tell me, Jayme, is it just the magnificent architecture of the buildings that you like, or is there a deeper interest that underlies it? Forgive me asking but, as a free church pastor, I'm curious! Kind regards, Chris

Your insight is wonderful. I bet you are a wonderful Pastor and human being. While I love the architecture, it's the peace and the strength that draws me in. I spend my days being bombarded with questions and assisting others, I'm a nurse. This is my way of filling myself up for another day. While helping others gives me great joy and a wonderful sense of self satisfaction, it also drains me, I am sure you understand this. My belief in and quest for spirituality leads me in many different directions. Being able to capture my quest in images, helps me revisit these places when I am unable to physically be there. I find I tend to actually see things differently than others. I am most happy when I can take an image of what I actually saw and convey that image and emotion to others. Admittedly it doesn't always come across as I desired, but then......sometimes it does.
