abintraphoto 0 Posted February 8, 2004 I'm sure not comfortable telling people what they should and shouldn't do with their vision of the world ........ but I am comfortable that you, more than most, want to hear my thoughts on your images Javed. You remember our discussion regarding backgrounds - that comes to mind again. He also looks a little posed vs. natural. Like a deer caught in the headlights as they say. My thoughts are to set-up all the gear .... have your hand on the cable release and engage him in normal conversation ....... then fire away when the moment seems right to you ....... This is only what is in my head - not necessarily a good idea amigo ...... (-; Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted February 8, 2004 A little too dark otherwise tone quality is real good. Nothing wrong with composition just no detail in the dark areas.... Link to comment
jamespaulsarte 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Tone seems a bit on the muddled side, but otherwise your results are good. Link to comment

pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted August 15, 2004 The subject looks too intentful. The photograph does not capture his essence. I understand this is a studio shot, but for some reason, him holding the camera in the position he is holding and the look on his face throws this photo off for me. I would have much preferred him just sitting with his camera down and you concentrating on his face/expression. My view might be cliche, but the camera takes away from his qualities. It is also quite large, so for me that competes with his face and expression. The photo could be cropped to the left (recomposed to the left) to bring his dominant right hand holding the camera and cut more of his left arm out of the frame. A tightly cropped version of this photo with just his face and the top of his camera and finger showing would be a bit more impactful. I liked http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2013348 more than this photo. Link to comment
