Jetty Fishing, Moss Landing, CA

I am a new exhibitor with no experience being critiqued. I have an

extensive and old B & W portfolio, but find that sometimes color

film, (here Kodak Max print film at 400 ISO) captures the starkness

of B & W but with accents of subtle color. I am particularly

interested in compositional and color (or lack thereof) elements.

Moss Landing is on the Central California Coast in Monterey County

and frequently the dominent color is grey, particularly in the

sunrise and sunset hours. I sought to emphasise the gradiation in

grays between the foreground rocks and cement and the sea and sky,

as well as show a strong compositional element, with a distant focus

on the two fishermen.
