For Hindus, Thaipusam, which falls on the full moon day in the Tamil

month of Thai, is a time of offering thanks to the deity Lord

Muragam, who is believe to represent vurtue, youth and power. During

this 24 hours thousands of Indians all across Malaysia and Singapore

participate in this event in Temples

With the green-on-green this is a really striking photo. Is there any particular reason for using limes, or do they just happen to be this person's offering?

I agree. The green on green is a bold choice. Might try to airbrush-clone the highlit area of the woodwork... just a thought.

I am actually surprised the green turned out so well and the skin tone so natural. Because of light reflection the facial tones seems more natural compared to his chest which looks a shade lighter - probably because of the powder dusted on his body for the ceremony.

And I always thougth limes grew on trees. Good shot Alec and the background makes it great.
