Maybe I will get jumped on for saying this, but I have never seen a silhouette shot of an extreme sport like this. Usually, I would say that the stereotype of the skate pic is wide-angle close up and heavily saturated color. This shot would look great in a skate video. It would look so cool with the guy sliding across the screen without the camera moving. Appear from one side, disappear on the other. Great shot.
