The tree is very real--this hasn't been manipulated in that way. Just dodging, burning, toning and sharpening. This tree is at a headlands and is subjected to very high winds much of the year (sometimes reaching over 100 mph). Thanks for your commments.

Robert, I like the dynamics and tension, with the fence seeming to be pulled outwards and the tree in the other direction. The desaturation works giving it a slightly unsettled look. I would just like to see a bit of space above the windblown tree.

Hannah, you're right about that tree. Strangely, I think the tip was chopped off when I framed it. I'll post a better version of this in the discussion. Thanks for your comment.
