Piotr, I have viewed your portfolio on more than one occasion. I must say that even when I dont' like your photo, I love your work. (If that makes sense) You have a definite style and recognizable work and that is a brilliant thing. I haven't yet even begun to find mine yet and thus I steal ideas and attempts. My regards and qudos for having developed such character in your work. Brilliant.

PS. This photo stinks. Just kidding. It's excellent. A tad... I mean TAD... to dark. Near perfect and I'm getting kinda burnt on the nudes... so again that's a big compliment.

I like very much torso arms and hands, I don't like the rest, some part is cover some not. It is hard to say what's going on down there. Fabric from seat cover is not working for me with fabric around her waist. I would get rid off it or make different seat.

Piotr - Excellent image. It is a bit dark, but I think this adds to the mood. Have you made any prints of this? How did the print turn out?

shadow.

Long ago I got a good lesson froma 'old crack' in the field of photography. It is not an art to bring light to an image, it is the art of taking it away. This is an good example of that technique and it's not only a good one, it's superb. Bringing the light is a matter of adjusting your spots or hazylights, this a example of putting the shades at the rights place, of balancing on the edge of what the old fellow Rembrandt used to do. In fact, if he would have lived today, he would haved used the medium of photography.

Therefore the remark to all of those who think that they know what a good photo is: Try to see it differently, see the shadows and the light will show you the rest, if you have the right eye, perhaps? This is not meant in patronizing in any way, but as a guideline to look as it belongs.

This shot? Splendid. No other words needed.

If I didn't know better I'd swear you'd popped into an art gallery & photogrpahed one of the exhibits! A splendid picture and I think that the 'darkness' gives it an old oil-painting feel which adds to the picture.

Wonderful lighting and pose... remembers me at the old well know Flemisch painters... Congratulations.

Friendly regards, Ben

This is one of the best photos I've seen on photo.net. It really looks like a painting. The lighting is magnificent and the shot has so much depth in it that I would expect to find it in Louvre. Great work indeed!

Really like it. First of all thelighting is very good and secondly I am keen on nudes as there is nothing more beautiful than the womans body.

Oh - you may think I am crazy - yes - but as usually your techniqie is exellent so I do not bother to comment on it. Overall impression - very good

Excellent evocation of ciaroscuro a la Elsheimer (in a rather sensual and Flemish way, if both actually can be mixed); very decisive definition of muscles and breasts, simple background...medium format is definitively not dead!

Another terrific shot. Great lighting, attractive classical pose. If I were to ever start shooting studio portraits, I'd emulate your style. Great work.
