artofheadshots 0 Posted January 30, 2004 I am re-doing my website. Just wanted your comments, to see if this picture should be one of the chosen one's. I really like it - but some people criticized my cropping style. What do you think? Looking forward to your comments, Ringo Link to comment
ken krueger 0 Posted February 1, 2004 I like the cropping & texture of his fur. Is this in b&w with you colouring his eyes or is it a colour shot? Link to comment
flickr url 0 Posted February 1, 2004 I like the expression in the face. The title of the image does not do justice to the image - there's got to be something better. Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted February 2, 2004 Thank you for your comments. Navine, I don't know why I just called it doggy rather than something more creative, nonetheless - I did. If you have some suggestion, I would love to change the name. As for desaturation of color, except for the eyes technique. I did not manipulate the colors in any way - the picture is as shot. If you see around the whites you can see some oranges. I was just walking down the street with my camera, and the dog was howling out of someone's van - the sky was hazzy I took the shot. It looks like a studio shot. But it was just three pictures taken while I was passing by. Link to comment
k._s._lovington 0 Posted February 2, 2004 Fantastic portrait. Very dignified, and completely devoid of fluff. One major, major problem for me though. This photo is raw and pure. This border is contrived and cheesy. I am yet to see a digital border(other than a thin black line) that would make this or any photo look better than it already does. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Beautiful photo, though. cheers Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted February 3, 2004 I can't remember what I was thinking with the Boarder> Looking at it,now. I agree with you Kelly - the ugly boarder tries to compete with the image. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted July 16, 2004 This is as good as it gets, the picture does NOT need a border. Without the border=7/7. With the border= 6/6. I have not seen a good picture that was actually HELPED by a border. A photo makes it on it`s own, or it doesn`t make it at all. My opinion, regards, -Jim Link to comment
