Student 2

I took some pictures of some of my students on the last day of school

last year. I have absolutely no experience with portrait work, but

there are several that are especially nice. Because she is a minor, I

received permission from BOTH the student and from her parents to post

this photo. Any comments or ratings are appreciated.

She looks happy and relaxed. I like the pose of the head. I vaguely felt, though no good reason for saying this, that it might work better reversed as most people read l to r. (This comment is from someone with probably less portrait experience than you!). But well done.

Just like to encourage you to shoot more of that portraits. I guess you have a certain talent. Just do it!

I think I like it as you had it originally...unflipped gets it. It's the 150 watt smile that does it. Very good!

Great smile and perfect timing (a little crop on the left side would help to concentrate even more on this white smile IMO...).

I agree with Colin. I like the original as well. She has the exuberance of youth. Nice capture.

Lou Ann, I think you need to keep doing portraits. This shot has captured a delightful expression and the girl looks so natural and unposed. I like this the way it is and not flipped. Nice work.
