dave_k1 0 Posted January 23, 2004 This mornings sunrise...Just a few miles south of Anchorage. Freezing rain has coated the rocks and snow with a layer of ice. At the waters edge is thick ice mixed with silt, which is left from the extreme changing tides of Turnagain Arm. Link to comment

jeff nichols 0 Posted January 24, 2004 dave, your views of turnigan arm never tire me. Always crisp, and striking and your capture of the foreground is always well balanced (light wise) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Another great landscape shot from you. I like the way the sun came out. Nice work. Link to comment

kkwan 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Excellent shot. The light is fantastic and you chose a great comp to capture it. I wonder if you have shots taken just a couple of minutes earlier. I am sure those clouds put on quite a show just before the sun came up above the horizon. Link to comment
thorsten_boettcher 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Another great shot of the scenery near Anchorage. I hope to go there this year and your Photos are definitely an inspiration. Thanks. Link to comment
shoshanna_bettencourt 0 Posted January 24, 2004 great shot. The time of day captured in your image is so life like that one can feel the icyness in the air. way to capture the emotion of morning. Link to comment
miles_hecker 0 Posted January 25, 2004 Excellent light and very well placed composition. A good cut above what passes for top draw landscape photography on PN, but really is only good. Well done my friend! Link to comment
nick_seamore 0 Posted January 25, 2004 This is awsome like most of your pictures and I think this comment and the ratings will almost be the same for the rest of your pictures. Beautiful!!! Regards, Link to comment
dock 0 Posted January 25, 2004 The composition is really great; from the grays in the rocks to the warm colors of the sunrise. This is a great picture. Thanks so much for sharing! Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted January 25, 2004 If u had moved one metre to the right, the reflection would have come right into the gap between the front rocks. I think half a stop down would have helped make the shadows more dramatic.. Link to comment
