Just opened that can of worms, boy there is so much to learn ! My original mentor said if there was a thousand ways to take a picture, then there would be a million ways to deal with it in the darkroom, what would he say about PS ! *R*

If he's still alive, Roger, he's probably having a lot of fun with PS. I used to do darkroom work - it's SO much more fun in PS because you can always hit the "undo" button and try something else.

I like the dark tones in this rose. It has a melancholy feel to it.

very elegant. i've used channels to borrow detail, ie. from lab, with the apply image command. You can also use channels by selecting one of the rgb channels and converting to gray scale, then use levels as a way to produce interesting b&w images.

Just recently started playing with channels - amazing how versatile PS is. I've only touched the surface of what it can do. Thanks for commenting Donna and David.

Thanks, Mike. I like the color red in photos, but it's hard to keep detail in it. That's one reason why I played with it (the other reason is I just enjoy playing with PS). :)
