Jacobs Ladders Glencoe

ian cameron

Everyone takes pictures of this island tree at Rannoch Moor in Scotland. The scenery there is absolutely stunning especially late autumn. The weather on this particular summers day was awful but I saw this tiny patch of light move across the landscape like a spotlight and for a few precious seconds the emerald greens of the distant shoreline came to life, while everything else remained sombre and bad tempered.

Beautiful picture. I wonder what would have been the result if the patch of light would have lighted up the island ? Better or no ?

I waited and the light did hit the island leaving the background dark. However the ladders were greatly diminished and it started to look like all the other shots of this famous little tree.
