Very strong monochromatic image. The birds are subtle, but clear. The line of the bluff is unusual and eye-catching, but abstract enough so as not to overpower the foreground interest. Thanks for sharing. AS

I don't think this is cheesey at all. The symetry is good, the tonal contast is excellent and the subjects are interesting. I've been to Arcadia a number of times and never saw it in quite this way. Good job!

Great exposure, very nice composition. I'd keep hoping (as you probably did) that the gulls would alter their stance somewhat; I'd prefer that the two on the right either face the camera or show a profile. Very nice capture.

I wonder why you think this is cheesy. I love the minimalistic colors created by the light and you have done a fantastic job capturing it.

I went to Acadia a few months ago and took a few nice shots, but nothing like this. I even recognize the location.
