It's a fantastic composition with excellent tonality and strong movement in forms. Even the thumbnail was a knockout! Nice work!

Chris, the wonderful thing about this photo is the scale perception in the foreground. It's almost as if the trees are miniatures. It conveys a sense of cold and warm at the same time due to the tree colors and the warmer mix of the rocks. Very nice. SB.

Thanks all for the ratings and comments. I've made a couple large (12x18") digital prints using all black inks--they look just as contrasty as this warmer image. My color printer (Canon s9000) does a great job with "warm" smaller prints, but the quality begins to break down above 8x10 IMHO. cc

I like the angle you've chosen. Good call on adding a more interesting sky. It suits this shot nicely.
