Had to get up early to go fishing! The sky was so nice that I went

shooting instead and got this shot of my brother-in-law.

Thanks for your comments Kurt. Yes Brian, I saw the reflection of the crimson clouds from the hill and took this shot of the lake.

If only I could come spend a few weeks with you and figure out how you do all this stuff...lol. You know one of these days they should plan a retreat for the photo.net patrons so we can do more than just look at the finished product. I think they should make it a yearly deal, make it in a place that offers wonderful photo ops, and give patrons discounts based on the number of years that they have been active on the site... don't you think???? hee hee. Well I love your work. I learn so much from watching everyone online. Seeing what they do, and trying to find out how to do it as well, and then adding my own spark.. Can't wait till spring. Take care. Jen.

Jen, thanks for your kind comment. Like you, photo.net has opened up my creativity through the eyes of all their very talented members. You are obviously very passionate about photography and I am sure if you have the time will love to travel and shoot more places around the world. Is there any regulations against inviting fellow members to travel and meet? Will be great if all share similar passion.

Nice work Alec, not just this shot. I know those early "dawn patrols' from surfing, light is just incredible so early,. Very nice composition and framing of the silhouete

Thanks Mario, I met a surfer from Santa Barbera while flying to Padang Indonesia and he told me a fair bit about surfing the big ones. Sounds cool and the surfboards he took all the way from USA looks bigger than an XL coffin! Talk about excess baggage charges!

you have many nice photos. To my taste this one is the most memorable. Its simplicity and design are great. Obviously, I don't know how the pond (or whatever it is) look like on the RH side, but I'd prefer to see the land continue. That's because the land's silhouette gives the mirrored sky great framing and in that place the framing is missing - kinda interrupts the flow. That's a small nitpick though. I like this photo very much. Cheers, Micheal
