I have seen similar image of a poster at a womens hospital a few years ago though it was rather provacative even disturbing to some because the infant boy embraced his naked pregnant mother while positioned right up against between her legs while she was lying down and his head resting on her lower abdomen with one arm around her thigh, to me it was perhaps innocent but I cannot help realising that contact between the boy and his mother's genitals took place. Your example here I do not find provacative at all but shows a bonding between mother and child also to the unborn.

Michael, this is a beautiful, powerful, tender, thought provoking shot. You have really captured the sense of anticipation. Well done!

So sensitive, so relaxed, and so natural.... the viewer can easily read the photographer's communication, of the child's close connection to the [anonymous] mother, and the focus of the picture - the forthcoming relationship between daughter and sibling. This picture holds a glimpse of the future for both children.

I do think the picture would benefit from a more subtle tone of sepia though. It appears rather saturated and greenish. Just a thought.

A great idea and the photo itself is touching and sensitive and conveys a strong message...

The manipulation of the background, though, leaves something to be desired. It is not too well done and, for me, detracts from the impact of the picture.
