Piotr, this is very good. but I'd like to suggest a more fitting title for this image. why not "cage of terminal illness"? it would work much better given the jaundiced color of the image and the gaunt profile of the subject. somehow, "soul cages" suggests too many color choices beside this one.

Idea and execution. Tried B&W? I know the yellow has a meaning, but it might distract with more time spent on viewing it?!

i like the fact that you tok up new direction, This is more like a painting than a photo and it works well for me. I like it very very much - so go on. kuba

i like the mixing of humùanity and bestiality of this picture ( the hand at the left of the picture seem to be an animal one, with only extremities of the fingers on the paper) . really frightning

congrats.

Hi Piotr,

Just took a look at your portfolio and am stunned. You've a very powerful body of work here. It's just that this image does not do it for me at all. Sorry to be a harsh criticism but I think it's missing something that is essential to the rest of your portfolio. I'm a painter/sculptor (most of the time. What I see when I look at this image is a man behind a sheet of latex giving no particular expression. It lacks tension, he is barely touching the skin let alone wrestling with it, as the title suggests and as your other works portray. I only say this because awareness of this tension is evident in your other works. This seems like a technique that you have to really be brave with, and I think you are more than capable. It's seems a lot of people have quite a different reaction to this piece though so I say this because I think it has more depth than you've reached with this attempt, and to encourage you to push it further.

Thanks

I only writte a comment when I specially enthousiast about a picture. This one is excellent, truly perfect image : I don't know how you managed to get those "honey" tones, but it works more than greatly. The composition is good too. This is a great use of the velvia 50. Digital simply can't match it, and I hope it never will !
