arachnophilia 0 Posted January 12, 2004 still working on getting a good print from this. i've printed it more than a dozen times in the darkroom, dodging and burning everytime and mess it up. haven't gotten a single result that looks like the digital file, or that i am terribly proud of. a few moderate successes though. i'm contact-printing from a makeshift negative, printed on a transparency. needs a little refinement because of the difference in tones that transparency and fiber-based paper take... suggestions, critiques? rascal64 9 Posted January 12, 2004 I can't imagine what you are TRYING to achieve. I'm looking at this image on a computer screen and the texture and tone are absolutely GRABBING me. Very nice work. Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted January 13, 2004 I agree with Tiffany. This has a gorgeous feel to it. Why not print it from the digital file? Link to comment
joanna_moskal 0 Posted January 17, 2004 I really like the contrast in this picture that there is a lot of gray in the background, but the woman is mostly black and white. I think the my emotional response to this photo is different than your title intends. Looking through the gaps in her fingers and seeing part of her eye makes me feel as if she is being a little sinister or maybe coy, rather than dejected. Link to comment
