heartstrings of mine - what an expression. I love the darkness and the rich color, and just those eyebrows raised up. =) excellent, down to the sharp light in his eyes - nice border too!

Certainly one of your best photos of our dumb chums. I think some other commenters have brought their own sentimentality to it; in and of itself it's quite neutral.

Neutral my foot! These are the saddest eyes I have ever seen. Amazing the emotions that dogs can express. Would that we humans could be that honest about how we feel.

Fantastic photo. I have a pic of a pooch in my portfolio - he's looking up over the water fountain. I had a similar result, and I am still not sure why. The focus was just a tad soft, I think, but I loved the effect - as I love it here. Great.
