A simple image? I don't think so. The background tells us much about the subject, his dresswear tells us more. The seemingly empty gaze tops it all. This image speaks volumes about the subject; you have found your niché in photography, Marina. Your images tell us so much that I can't begin to express my appreciation and admiration for your work! BRAVO! Good show! Yes! You've succeeded in your efforts to tell us a "story" with a single image, but I expect as much from someone as talented and gifted as you.

It seems very simple to do this. Just buy a ticket to Ethiopia and bring your camera along. Clearly that's not enough.Besides having the sharp photographic eye to judge what subject is worth and what is not, you have to have that special empathic reserve of emotions to connect with them and get their acceptance. certainly you have that knack, Curra.

Very special image. Have you tjought on lecturing about your travels illustrating them with your slides? As I know tht you do lecture about some other matters I'm sure you'll be a hit if you decide to share with others your experience from a lectern...
