tc_reed 0 Posted January 7, 2004 Quality has been compromised for compression I'm sad to say. But, here it is anyway! Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted January 7, 2004 The composition, colors, and creativity is evident in this effort. Very nice work, TC. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted January 8, 2004 Thank you Jeff! Had you not made the suggestion, I may not have done this. I'm going to work on correcting the compression distortion. We can't have that. Link to comment
david_falconer1 0 Posted January 8, 2004 TC: Is this the infamous Oak along highway 26 between exit 62 and 185th Ave? David Falconer--another Hillsboro Photographer Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted January 8, 2004 David, you are almost dead on. It is an Oak that is sitting all by itself off of hwy 26, exit 62 between Evergreen Pkwy and NW Huffman St. You can see it from the highway but mostly from Shute Rd. and Evergreen Pkwy. It always looks so perfect and out of place at the same time. I know the one you're referring to. It is about the same size and closer to the hwy. You know your tree landmarks well! :) Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted January 9, 2004 I am really glad I do not have to navigate arborially. I would be lost at the first deciduous. Link to comment
dkatz02 0 Posted January 16, 2004 i like the monochrome ideas, however the images are a little to pixilated for my taste. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted January 31, 2004 I'm sure you can tell the compression really took away from the photo's. The original is not pixelatd. If you know how to upload without compressing into JPEG, let me know! :) Thanks for your opinion, David. Link to comment
sarah marie jones 0 Posted January 31, 2004 I like the idea here very much TC. Andy warhol was right that repetition of an image elevates it. Is it possible to post the uncompressed version ? Best regards, sarah Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted February 5, 2004 I am trying to do just that. Unfortunately, photo.net does not allow for TIFF or PDF upload. I'm gonna keep trying different versions. Eventually, I will find one that works or beg for help. :) Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted March 6, 2004 Hi TC. Marvelous concept. What is the resolution on your TIFF and are you using Photoshop or some other program for your conversion to the compressed jaypeg? I saved this to disk and it shows as a 36K file. You should try compressing it to 100k. Regards, Mister Ken Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted March 13, 2004 I haven't thought to try that, Ken. Thank you. I use Photoshop for all my editing. I've much to learn yet. Link to comment
