sterioma 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Beatiful colors of the sand, the rocks look a little too dark maybe. But perhaps that's just the way they are :) Nice shot! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 6, 2004 I was looking at a poster I have of the Twelve Apostles the other day and wondering to myself if it was humanly possible to make something like this look different to the photos taken by every other person who has been there - and here you go... it's simple, but the increase in contrast works wonderfully to draw attention to those great lines in the sand. Nice composition also, really leads my eye up along the coast. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 6, 2004 Great lines! The angle of the sun causes the dark and makes the contrast outstanding. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 6, 2004 Wonderful image. I especially like the contrasting tones of the sand/water/rocks. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted January 7, 2004 A well balanced comp, with nice looking lines in the sand leading the viewer to the rocks. Well done!! Link to comment
john_paskey 0 Posted January 7, 2004 The exposure makes the lines of different color sand the focal point and it works very well. I do agree that the rocks are a little dark but this does not hurt the photo much and helps the eye be drawn to the sand. Very good. Link to comment
sriram 0 Posted January 7, 2004 Beautiful image. I really like the pattern the waves are creating on the beach. Well done. Link to comment
dbotchev 0 Posted January 7, 2004 Wonderful nuance colors of the sand and nice gradation. Amazing felling! Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted January 7, 2004 I very much prefefr this version. Compositionally is much better and colourwards is also better Link to comment
patanjali_parimi 0 Posted January 8, 2004 Great sand and boulders! I guess it could as well be two pictures (bottom half + top half), each standing on its own and yet complementing each other when combined. See two cropped versions below. Link to comment
rp3o 0 Posted January 9, 2004 Thank you everyone for your comments...especially for the two cropped versions posted...I hope to upload a close-up or two of the apostles, which approximates the first cropped version... Link to comment
ellen_hill 0 Posted January 9, 2004 It took me a while to adjust to the colour you have given the apostles. I have seen them in the flesh many times and think their natual colour is beautiful. This photo adds another dimension and it is growing on me. Good Job! Link to comment
alan chan 0 Posted January 9, 2004 I like the rythym of this image.. it's like a live ballet of the nature in an open stage. Link to comment
