carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Cast during a medieval show event in an old castle, Germany. The blacksmith´s style and gesture appeared authentic, and he was so engaged with his forging that he was not aware of my camera. Link to comment
yasumasa_yanagisawa 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Excellent portrait. And I can hardly believe that this is by a digital camera. Wow! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 8, 2004 Great color and depth. I'd love to see this B&W or sepia... it would be like a trip back in time. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 9, 2004 The B&W photo has probably more "medieval atmosphere", but I liked the colors so much that I presented the color version. Compare for yourself: Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted January 25, 2004 The color version is great, the sepia version is a masterpiece! You have the ability to pick out an interesting face. regards, -Jim Btw, thanks for rating my pics. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 30, 2004 Carsten, seeing the colored version, that to my taste is giving more details than the sepia one. both of the versions are very artistic. Pnina Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 26, 2004 Yes my blacksmith is too young, there is no possible comparison,I think that my photo is correct, but as they say most of your visitors yours it is a masterpiece. The sepia one is very good too. Link to comment
derek_laird 0 Posted July 6, 2004 A really super quality image! i cant believe either, its a 'digital'pic! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 30, 2004 Lovely composition. Why can't people believe it is from a digital camera? The advancement in technology makes digital images as superior as analog films if not better - as it can be edited. Link to comment
nickmeertens 0 Posted March 6, 2006 You have a great portfolio Carsten! Of all the photo's in it i like this best though... It is like a painting from the old masters. That is why it is so much better in color in my opinion; Rembrandt didn't paint in sepia.... Link to comment
