I'd like to see it reversed, too - have the tree really dark, as in a silouette. Not sure how the sky would come out, but you could play some more! :)

The untouched version is loaded and viewable for critiqueing. I think you'll understand why I wasn't so fond of it.

I'm stopping by here because you left a kind comment that I really appreciated hearing (reading) about my bird photo's. Thank you. Now, how did you do this? I love it and I want to try it too. PhotoShop? I did something with the night filter. I like it, but it's not likely that too many others would. That's never stopped me before. Hope you see it. I think you'd appreciate it. Mary

I used the solarize setting on my Sony digital camera when I took this photo. I adjusted the contrast in PS. I know you can get this same effect in PS by modifying your tones. I took this photo in three different modes. I haven't done anything to the normal mode shot. I like it just the way it is.

TC,

I've looked at all three versions. Individually, they are very pleasing. Together they offer something even greater to the viewer. Here is my idea (feel free to use it, it really is not that original). Create a tryptich that contains all three images side by side with framing to separate them. I bet the result is mindblowing. The limits of PN do not allow you to have more than 800pixels on the long side, so we will not be able to see it in all of its glory, but will have something worthy of a gallery showing. Please try it, and if you produce anything please send me an email of the large version so I can enjoy it. Wonderful work! Keep going.
