mark_jordan3 0 Posted December 30, 2003 Placement of the foreground stump is interesting. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted December 30, 2003 Are the prominently placed stump and the title connected in an ecological statement? It's a sad state of affairs around the world. I think I might prefer the balance more in favour of the trees, but it's a provocative image all the same. Link to comment
galina stepanova 0 Posted December 30, 2003 Hi, Jiri.I like the title, emphasizes the philosophy of whole picture and accents the foreground as inevitability. And I like your wish for "right" light, symbolic here (as well as perfectly fits my last picture-thank you). The topless composition and strong geometry of capture work well together and make a great image. My compliments, Galina Link to comment
yasser_ghazvini 0 Posted December 31, 2003 very nice .your photo is just like a poem. your title is proportional .and i think you chose good scene and composition Link to comment
saikat.pathak 0 Posted December 31, 2003 Aptly chosen title. Like the simple graphical approach conveying the message within. Link to comment
myrjola 0 Posted December 31, 2003 Wonderful colors. Feels like the stump is blocking walking down a route defined by the trees on the left side. Link to comment
poutnik 1 Posted January 4, 2004 Thank you all for your comments. I'm a bit surprised by the amount of comments and esp. ratings. This was just a though of the destiny of the forrests in these days when walking through one. Also I had a borrowed Pentacon Six withouth an exposure meter with my third 120 film so far (and for me a rather hard to expose correctly Fuji Provia one at that), the exposition was guestimated. It was just a trial to render an idea I just had. And by your reactions, it was not a bad trial... Jiri Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted January 10, 2004 Real nice shot! the tone and composition is very good. and the root of the tree add to the balance.Well done!! Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 6, 2004 A powerful composition -if not for the left hand side cropped root- delightfully coupled with a tremendous light and a perfect title! Link to comment
barclayphoto 0 Posted November 23, 2004 A very strong use of the square format. I've been wanting to get a used Hassy but wondered about the square versus a 6x7 format... This on e helps with my decision. Link to comment
stupski 0 Posted August 7, 2005 This shot makes a powerful statement to me about trees disappearing from the landscape...beautiful handling of the atmospheric light behind the trees. Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Nice composition, I love the light in background, regards Link to comment
