francis_cailles 0 Posted December 27, 2003 the background alone I would rate 7/7, the statue alone I would rate 5/5. But together, I don't find it very appealing. Maybe because the gray/blue hue of the statue seems intrusive to the warm orange and black colors of the BG. Perhaps if the BG and FG were of the same hue (i.e., all orange/black, or all blue/gray), then I'll probably find it more appealing. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but isn't this what this site is about. The comment is meant to be constructive, not a personal attack. I appreciate the thought and effort you put into this image. Link to comment
audah 0 Posted December 27, 2003 Hi Francis, Thanks for the comment. The basic idea of this image is the ghost theme that I still develop...so the figures in the middle should be not statue, but ghosts or spirits (of course I took statue photo in this case). To understanding this image, I think we should use our imagination...let the imagination flows :-). Thanks for stopping by and made comment, I appreciated it! Link to comment
francis_cailles 0 Posted December 27, 2003 Hi Abdul...thanks for explaining your intent for the photograph...maybe you could make the statue image a bit more transparent to give it a more "ghostly" appearance, your intent would be more apparent. I'm not an image editing software expert, but I imagine you are given the skill required to put this photograph together. What do you think of that idea? I think the statue as it is now is too opaque...give it more transparence and you have a winner here! :-) Link to comment
audah 0 Posted December 29, 2003 I'm re-submitting again this image as I need some inputs...do you think the two figures in the middle are not 'ghostly' enough? Any comments are welcome! Thanks Link to comment
