Nostalgia

I really like your idea here. the composition is great, the lighting is nice, and the sepia is real effective...It just would have been nice to see this accomplished in the darkroom, rather than with photoshop. Great photo though.

It's a beauty.. But apparently it was too easy to accomplish such a task in a digital environment. You should have sweated for hours in a darkroom. Just kidding.. Thanks for sharing.

Abdul, I like your effect. Did you duplicate the image into a second layer, blur the second layer, give a sepia effect, then mask the edges lightly? Thanks for sharing the picture - in addition to the muted colors, I like the way the picture shepherds one's eyes to sweep from the foreground tree's branches down the road.

Hi Dilip, I used layers for sepia effect and the rest only filters and painted a bit for balance the white effect (with soft brush).

And for Marco and Drew, I remember that one of the PN members(Carsten Macdonald Arnskov) made comment on my portfolio, he said :

"You've made a beautiful picture. To me it's not important how it's made. Some prefer to spend their time in a darkroom, some in front of a computer screen. Both are equally valid".

I think he's right...everybodies have their own way to achieve something could make them feel satisfied with what they do!
