I do not know too much about "Holga". But it appears a "difficult" camera, where photographic skills are required to use it.

I like the mood in this photo. Very well supported by the toning.

Looks like an image from the Ring - on the one hand pleasant and peacful, on the other dark a forbiding, full of malice - depends on your mood I suppose. Enjoyed looking at this one, thanks

I must be in an odd mood. looks inviting. Wrap up in some warm clothes and just sit and relax there until someone made me leave.

Effective mood. The Holga contributes to the mystery of the shot (the softness and the vignetting). In a composition like this, I think a Holga adds implied motion to an otherwise static subject. Maybe it is the sense of transience, as if you are only catching a glimpse of the subject.

great holga shot, I really like the dark shadows, i know it is difficult to perfectly compose though the holgas plastic hole, but i would have taken a few steps to the right.

Bobby, thanks for your comment. This is a funky, big old dock--it's probably 12 feet wide and made out of very heavy boards. It also slopes, which caused some problems (or added visual interest) with the horizon. When I shot this I was trying to get it a little off center, but now I agree with you . . . I should have shot it straight on.
