tc_reed 0 Posted December 23, 2003 I'm no portraiture photographer, but I find your low lighting condition superb and well balanced all around your model. The tone set by your back drop is perfect for her skin tone and hair coloring. I don't care for the item she is resting her arms on to be showing. However, it is not enough to take away from your attention to detail. Which, of course, we get better with each photo. This is a really, really nice portrait. I would keep it and hang it if it were mine. Link to comment
gearoid_osullivan 0 Posted December 23, 2003 I have no experience at portraits, so I'm quite impressed with this. The lighting is nice, and you've captured a very natural looking expression. I'm not sure about the part of the chair showing at the bottom, and though it might be my monitor, the back of the hand on the right looks slightly too bright. All said I'd have been delighted to have taken a portrait like this. Link to comment
jmublueduck aim 0 Posted December 23, 2003 thanks everyone... yes, the chair she's leaning on could be cloned out, but I just left it as-is. It's actually a bar-height chair & she's standing, leaning on a small rung of the back. A posing table would be more ideal, but I'm working w/ what I got. Gearoid, the hairlight was positioned a little off (hence her right hand being a little hot).. but I'm chalking it up to part of the learning process. ;) Link to comment
