Kim, I love this lighting and composition. The work you do against a black background is wonderful, it allows us to see the shapes, form and design without distraction.

Actually, Marlene, this started off as green leaves and the background was as is - didn't do anything to it. It's all in the DOF and the effects I used to do this. I liked the way the leaves look like gold. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

I like this one. It has a nice balance in tone and composition, and the highlights and vein detail give it good dimension. Simplicity is the best aspect of plant life photography I think.

Beautiful effect Kim. The graphical qualities are strong and there is satisfying detail and pattern at many levels. I do wonder if a slight counterclockwise rotation or a bit more frame at right would produce an even more pleasing result. Nice work, as always. Best regards, sarah
