gaetanchevalier 5 Posted December 20, 2003 Wintern scene in Quebec city (Cartier Champlain). Link to comment
luke_pederson 0 Posted December 20, 2003 I feel the top and bottom of the photo are out of ballance. The top is dark while the bottom has a lot going on. Also I feel it is leaning a bit to one side. I think recroping to square up the photo would help. Link to comment
stevemarcus 0 Posted December 20, 2003 Very pretty X-mas scene, Gaetan. You might want to rotate the photo counter-clockwise just a bit. Cheers, and keep posting these X-mas/snow scenes of Quebec City. We don't get snow here in SW Texas and I miss it a lot! Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted December 20, 2003 Thank you all for your very informative comments. I have made a new cropping that present this photo in a new way. Link to comment
ben.goossens 0 Posted December 20, 2003 Nice atmophere.... need some distortion and cropping :-)) Nice to have snow on Christmas, that happens rarely in Belgium Link to comment

brad_crosier 0 Posted December 21, 2003 In addition to the prevoius comments, I find the convergence from shooting across the street makes me feel off balance. If it were more exagerrated (read more deliberate) it wouldn't be as distracting as when it is just slightly perceptible. Along the same lines, I'd like a _slightly_ slower shutter speed to blur the people more and render them just a touch more abstract then they are now - again making it more of a deliberate choice rather than a side effect. Those things said, I love the location and choice of subject, as well as the feeling of luminance from the blown out highlights of the decorations. Nice find. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 21, 2003 Very pretty seasonal night shot. Lots of atmosphere and depth. I'm in S Texas, too, and enjoy the snow pictures (although I don't miss the snow!). Link to comment

Pierrette Gagnon Beaulieu ! Link to comment
buns 0 Posted May 25, 2004 This could have been a great photo if you took a little more time to adjust the focus so everything was clear. Very nice coloring here. Link to comment
