anthonyirik 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Step carefully - these colonial corals are modern-day reef-builders that protect islands and harbor huge populations of marine life. The symbiotic algae that allows them to turn sunlight into food is very delicate. This was taken off the edge of a sea-grass/sand-bar, at low-tide, where the hard corals start to grow. This little one is just a few years old, approximately 5cm in diameter. Link to comment
